It’s time for UFC 298! The event is happening tonight in Anaheim, CA. Tonight’s main event has Alexander Volkanovski vs. Ilia Topuria for the UFC featherweight title. But before that five round clash there is a main card filled with exciting match-ups.
One of those pits former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo against rising contender Merab Dvalishvili.

Merab Dvalishvili vs. Henry Ceudo live play-by-play
Round 1
Cejudo takes center cage. Dvalishvili circling outside. Cejudo tries a leg kick. Dvalishvili fires a wheel kick! “USA! USA!” chants from the crowd. Cejudo lands a calf kick. Dvalishvili lands an inside leg kick. Cejudo stuns Dvalishvili with right hand! Another right hook lands for Henry. They pause and face off center cage.
Dvalishvili grabs a leg and takes the Olympian wrestler down! Has his back briefly but Henry spins free. Dvalishvili lands a big right hand and pushes forward. Cejudo reverses and ends up on top! Cejudo in half-guard. Dvalishvili trying for a kimura grip. Nothing doing. Cejudo takes the back, Dvalishvili on his hands & knees. Dvalishvili stands, hand-fighting with Cejudo still on his back. They trod to the cage. Dvalishvili spins around, still in the clinch now facing each other.
Cejudo lands a knee and they break with seconds left. 10-9 Cejudo on my card but very close.
Round 2
They dance for 30 seconds before Dvalishvili throws a straight kick that misses. They trade leg kicks. Cejudo goes for a single leg, transitions to the back. Dvalishvili breaks free, fires some punches. Cejudo clinches again. They break. Dvalishvili lands a right-hand counter. Cejudo grabs a leg. Eats a couple punches. Dvalishvili hurts Henry with a right! Henry advances behind a body shot. Dvalishvili throwing combos high and low.
Dvalishvili grabs a leg. Gets the takedown! Has the back with Henry on hands and knees, crawling to the fence. Cejudo stands, still carrying Dvalishvili. Dvalishvili throws him back to the ground. Dvalishvili lands rights to Henry’s face.
They break. Cejudo shoots, stuffed. Dvalishvili with a headlock, whips Cejudo down, spins for the back. Dvalishvili peppering Cejudo with lefts to the ribs. Dvalishvili going for the front choke. He’s squeezing and talking trash. Round ends. 10-9 Dvalishvili evens it up on my card.
Round 3
Cejudo opens with a leg kick. Dvalishvili does some spinning, nothing connects. Cejudo’s left forearm is very swollen. Dvalishvili closes distance, takes Cejudo’s back standing. Dvalishvili firing knees to Cejudo’s legs. Cejudo spins free. Cejudo lands a calf kick. Dvalishvili goes for a leg, stuffed.
Dvalishvili lands a smacking right. Dvalishvili picks up Cejudo, slams him down. Dvalishvili lands in Cejudo’s guard. throwing punches. Cejudo tries to scramble free. Manages to stand but Dvalishvili stays glued to his back. Dvalishvili forces him down to the ground. Cejudo fights back up.
They break. Trading punches. Cejudo shoots. Dvalishvili bounces on one leg, fends off the take down and the fight ends. 10-9 Dvalishvili for the win.
